February 5: Try Not to Fight

Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong. But always try to do what is good for each other and for all people. - 1 Thessalonians 5:15 ICB

When someone shoves you, do you shove back? If they say something mean, are you mean too? No matter who starts a fight, everyone who is involved will probably get in trouble.

It's hard to not fight back, but that's just what God wants us to do. He doesn't want the problem to get worse, so he asks us to do good for each other, even to people who are not very nice. And you will feel better when you choose to do the right thing.
